EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN

A BETTER REMODEL BEGINS WITH UNDERSTANDING YOU
Great design isn't about imposing a style.
It's about discovering what feels right for you.
For more than 35 years I've helped homeowners transform kitchens, baths and entire homes. But I don't begin by asking you to choose a style for follow the latest trend. I begin with you.
I listen to what you love - and what you don't. Working in three different design disciplines has provided me unique insights into why we like the things we do. I look for the patterns behind your preferences and work to understand why certain spaces, materials and ideas appeal to you.
These discoveries become the foundation for a home that doesn't simply look beautiful and function well. It feels uniquely yours.
How your home makes you
feel matters.
Experiential Design is about
creating spaces that cannect you
with positive emotions
Comfort, Elation,
Inspiration, Joy
"The ultimate test of great design isn't simply how it looks. It's how you feel when you're lving in it."

Design Insight Backed by Building Experience
My perspective comes from more than 35 years working across design, construction and custom home building. That experience allows me to look at your remodel from several directions at once - how it will look, how it will function, how it can be built, and how all the individual decisions need to work together.
Before focusing exclusively on design, I spent many years designing and building custom homes and major remodeling projects. That construction background remains an important part of the way I design today. Beautiful ideas have to work in the real world. Understanding structure, construction, materials and cost helps me identify opportunities - and potential problems - before they become expensive surprises.
Just as importantly, it allows me to communicate effectively with contractors and craftsmen who will turn the design into reality.
The home isn't
the finished product.
You are.
The real measure of success is seeing you experience your completed home and knowing that it has become something more than a collection of beautiful rooms.
It has become your home in a way it wasn't before.
Good design imagines what your home can become.
Experience helps make sure it can actually get there.
